The Man Who Never Left the Arena. 

Mohamed Motei was a young boy when he watched his first judo championship on television. He didn't understand the rules at the time, but he grasped one thing: these champions had a goal, strength, and discipline.

He decided to set foot on the same path.

 He began training at Al-Zohour Club, among his peers, but he wasn't like them. He didn't treat the sport as a hobby. He considered every training session a test, and every defeat a new beginning.

 A few years later, he became the champion of the Republic. Then, he became the African champion multiple times. In 2009, he stood as Egypt's representative at the World Championships in Korea. He wasn't just a player; he was the face of an entire generation's ambitions.

 But the story didn't end at the mat.

 When he obtained his international referee certification in 2019, he understood that sports weren't just about winning medals. Rather, they meant building systems, developing players, and creating a fair environment.

He entered the field of administration. He held vital positions at Al-Zohour Club. He was a young member, then Secretary-General, then a youth representative member. He didn't ask for any position; he was asked to step forward because he had proven that he knew what he was doing.

Currently, he heads the Egyptian Judo Federation and has worked in the International Judo Federation, where he established a committee for performance development and foreign affairs. Then, in the African Union, he chaired the Performance Development and Technology Committee. And with the Egyptian Olympic Committee, he became the Assistant Secretary-General.

He transformed from an athlete to an administrator, from an administrator to a theorist of development, and then to a leader in the sports industry.

Every step he took had a goal: 

to create a real system for judo in Egypt and Africa.

He didn't talk much about his achievements, but the numbers spoke for themselves:

 * Champion of the Republic

 * African Champion

 * Participant in the World Championships

 * International Referee

 * Administrative leader in more than five different positions.

Today, when he sits with the youth at Al-Zohour Club, he doesn't just tell them stories of championships. Instead, he talks to them about continuity, about the importance of an athlete being a complete project that goes beyond winning and losing.

The message is clear:

 Sports are not just podiums for crowning champions, but arenas for building capabilities, redefining success, and transforming individuals into living institutions.

Mohamed Motei never left the arena. He only expanded it.

كان محمد مطيع طفلًا صغيرًا عندما شاهد أول بطولة جودو في التلفاز. لم يفهم وقتها القواعد، لكنه أدرك شيئًا واحدًا. هؤلاء الأبطال لديهم هدف، قوة، انضباط.

قرر أن يضع قدمه على نفس الطريق.

بدأ يتدرب في نادي الزهور، وسط أقرانه من الأطفال، لكنه لم يكن مثلهم. لم يتعامل مع الرياضة كهواية. كان يعتبر كل تمرين اختبارًا، وكل هزيمة بداية جديدة.

سنوات قليلة، وأصبح بطل الجمهورية. ثم صار بطل إفريقيا لعدة مرات. في 2009، وقف ممثلًا لمصر في بطولة العالم بكوريا. لم يكن مجرد لاعب. كان وجهًا لطموحات جيل كامل.

لكن القصة لم تقف عند الحلبة.

حين حصل على الشهادة الدولية كحكم في 2019، فهم أن الرياضة لا تعني فقط الفوز بالميداليات. بل تعني بناء أنظمة، وتطوير لاعبين، وصناعة بيئة عادلة.

دخل مجال الإدارة. شغل مناصب حيوية في نادي الزهور. كان عضوًا شابًا، ثم سكرتيرًا عامًا، ثم عضوًا ممثلًا للشباب. لم يطلب منصبًا. كان يُطلب إليه أن يتقدم، لأنه أثبت أنه يعرف ماذا يفعل.

حاليا يترأس الاتحاد المصري للچودو و عمل في الاتحاد الدولي للجودو ، فأنشأ لجنة لتطوير الأداء والشؤون الخارجية. ثم في الاتحاد الأفريقي، ترأس لجنة تطوير الأداء والتكنولوجيا. ومع اللجنة الأولمبية المصرية، أصبح الامين العام المساعد .

تحوّل من رياضي إلى إداري، ومن إداري إلى مُنظّر للتطوير، ثم إلى قائد لصناعة الرياضة.

كل خطوة خطاها كانت لها هدف: أن يصنع منظومة حقيقية للجودو في مصر وإفريقيا.

لم يتحدث كثيرًا عن إنجازاته، لكن الأرقام قالت كل شيء:

مشارك في كأس العالم

حكم دولي

 قائد إداري في أكثر من خمسة مواقع مختلفة

اليوم، حين يجلس مع الشباب في نادي الزهور، لا يروي لهم قصص البطولات فقط. بل يحدثهم عن الاستمرارية. عن أهمية أن يكون الرياضي مشروعًا كاملًا، يتجاوز الفوز والخسارة.

الرسالة واضحة:

الرياضة ليست فقط منصات تتويج، بل ساحات لبناء القدرات، وإعادة تعريف النجاح، وتحويل الأفراد إلى مؤسسات حية.

محمد مطيع لم يترك الساحة. فقط وسّعها.
