الدكتورة أسماء بدران ... بصمة امرأة مصرية على خريطة الصحة العالمية و السياسة الدولية

في زمن تتسارع فيه التحديات وتتشابك فيه العلوم و السياسة و المجتمع، تظهر شخصيات قادرة على أن تعبر الجسور بين هذه العوالم المختلفة لتصنع فارقا حقيقيا. و من بين هذه الشخصيات اللامعة تبرز الدكتورة أسماء بدران التي استطاعت أن تمزج بين الصيدلة و الطب البيطري والإدارة والسياسة والإعلام والفنون والصحة العالمية، لتصبح صوتا عالميا يعكس قوة الإرادة المصرية و رؤية قادرة على صياغة المستقبل.

بدأت رحلتها التعليمية في كلية الطب البيطري بجامعة الزقازيق، حيث حصلت على درجة البكالوريوس في الطب البيطري. غير أنها لم تتوقف عند هذا الإنجاز، بل سعت لتوسيع مداركها العلمية فالتحقت بكلية الصيدلة في الجامعة نفسها، لتتخرج حاصلة على بكالوريوس العلوم الصيدلية و الصيدلة الإكلينيكية بتقدير جيد جدا". هذا التنوع بين الطب البيطري و الصيدلة لم يكن مجرد صدفة، بل كان نتاج شغف حقيقي بالعلم ورغبة في امتلاك أدوات متعددة لفهم صحة الإنسان والحيوان على حد سواء.

بعدها التحقت بالبرنامج الرئاسي لتأهيل الشباب للقيادة في الأكاديمية الوطنية للتدريب ضمن الدفعة الثانية، حيث درست الإدارة و إدارة الأعمال والعمليات، و هو ما أتاح لها أدوات قيادية مهمة للمرحلة التالية من مسيرتها.

لم يكن هذا مجرد برنامج تدريبي، بل كان مشروعا وطنيا استراتيجيا شاركت من خلاله في تنظيم فعاليات دولية كبرى مثل منتدى شباب العالم بكافة نسخه، كما شاركت في نموذج محاكاة مجلس الأمن بحضور السيد رئيس الجمهورية وعدد من رؤساء الدول و ممثلي العالم، وأسفر عن إصدار وثيقة تم تسليمها باسم مصر إلى الأمم المتحدة. و من خلال البرنامج الرئاسي، كانت لها إسهامات بارزة في تحليل وصياغة الرؤى المتعلقة بالعديد من القضايا القومية والإقليمية، فكان البرنامج بالنسبة لها مدرسة عملية عميقة أظهرت فيها مصر قدرتها على تمكين جيل جديد من القادة الشباب القادرين على إدارة الملفات الدولية الكبرى و صنع القرار.

لم يتوقف عطاؤها العلمي عند حدود الوطن، ففي عام 2022 حصلت على شهادة في الصحة العالمية من جامعة فلوريدا بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية بتقدير "ممتاز"، و هو ما منحها منظورا عالميا متكاملا حول قضايا الصحة والتنمية. كما اجتازت دورة تدريبية في مركز الأهرام للدراسات السياسية والاستراتيجية، واستمر التعاون بينها و بين المركز في مجالات تحديات منظومة الصحة العالمية في مواجهة التغيرات السياسية و الاقتصادية الراهنة.

و إلى جانب ذلك، كجزء من برامج الاتحاد الأوروبي لتمكين القيادات النسائية و التعرف على قضايا الأقليات الثقافية و النوع الاجتماعي. فقد حصلت على ترشيح من المجلس القومي للمرأة للحصول على منحة تدريبية في مجال تمكين القيادات النسائية المصرية، وأصبحت من خريجات دراسات النوع الاجتماعي Gender studies في مركز التدريب الدولي التابع لمنظمة العمل الدولية بإيطاليا (ITCILO).

و بالإضافة إلى ذلك، حصلت على اعتماد كمدربة لأهداف التنمية المستدامة من المعهد القومي للحوكمة و التنمية المستدامة بالتعاون مع برنامج الأمم المتحدة الإنمائي، كما تم اختيارها أيضا كسفيرة لأهداف التنمية المستدامة، و هو ما جمع بين دورها التدريبي الأكاديمي ودورها التوعوي و التمثيلي لنشر ثقافة الاستدامة على المستويين المحلي و الدولي.

امتلكت د. أسماء مسارا عمليا متنوعا جمع بين الممارسة الطبية المباشرة، و التجارب الإعلامية، والعمل الإداري، وصولا إلى القيادة التنفيذية. فقد بدأت عملها كصيدلانية إكلينيكية في مستشفى الأحرار" التعليمي، حيث تابعت حالات المرضى في العناية المركزة وفق أحدث البروتوكولات وضبطت الجرعات العلاجية بما يضمن سلامتهم. كما عملت في مركز "زينة الحياة" للخصوبة وأطفال الأنابيب كأخصائية في علم الأجنة، و أعدت كتيبات إرشادية للمرضى، إضافة إلى فترة تدريب في معامل التحاليل الطبية، و كذلك تدريبها بقسم الصيدلة الإكلينيكية في مستشفى 57357  لسرطان الأطفال. كما شملت خبراتها العمل بالحجر الصحي في محافظة الشرقية حيث تعاملت مع الأمراض الوبائية و طرق الوقاية منها. هذه الخبرات الطبية شكلت أساسا متينا لمسيرتها اللاحقة.

غير أن طموحها دفعها إلى آفاق أوسع، فانتقلت إلى عالم الإعلام و التسويق حيث بدأت رحلتها في مجال التسويق بشركة "Dulex Lab" للأدوية، وساهمت في إعداد الخطط التسويقية و تنظيم الفعاليات العلمية والدعائية الطبية، ثم شغلت منصب مديرة العلاقات العامة في موقع "Daily Medical Info" ، الذي حصل عام 2016 على جائزة أفضل موقع طبي في العالم العربي، وأسهمت من خلاله في رفع الوعي الصحي لدى الجمهور. كما تولت مناصب إدارية عليا في شركات محلية وإقليمية، منها إدارة فرق التسويق الرقمي بشركة "Innovato" ،والإدارة الإقليمية لشركة Oranaa" في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، فضلا عن عملها كمديرة للتسويق في شركة "Archrete" للحلول الهندسية، حيث أسست فرقا تسويقية و وضعت استراتيجيات توسع ناجحة.

على صعيد العمل العام، برزت د. أسماء كقيادية مؤثرة في القطاع الصحي المصري. فقد أسندت إليها وزارة الصحة والسكان مهمة رئاسة مكتب السياحة العلاجية، حيث وضعت الأسس لخلق منظومة وطنية تنافس عالميا. ثم تولت رئاسة اللجنة الفنية للسياحة العلاجية بمجلس الوزراء المصري، و هناك أسهمت في صياغة السياسات الدولية لتبادل المرضى، و تدريب الكوادر، وتسهيل إجراءات استقبال الحالات من الخارج، وإعداد الاستراتيجية الوطنية للسياحة العلاجية.

كما لعبت دورا محوريا في هيئة الرعاية الصحية المصرية بصفتها خبيرة في السياسات الإعلامية و التسويق، واضعة استراتيجيات للتواصل العام والتسويق الدولي لمشروع التغطية الصحية الشاملة. و بعد ذلك شغلت منصب المدير التنفيذي لقطاع الصحة و التعليم بمجموعة "ماكسيم للاستثمار"، حيث قادت مشروعات استراتيجية كبرى بالتعاون مع علامات تجارية عالمية، لضمان الابتكار والاستدامة وتحقيق أهداف التنمية.

و إيمانا منها بأهمية مجال الصحة العالمية، لم تتوقف مسيرتها عند حدود المناصب التنفيذية، بل انطلقت إلى مجالات أوسع من العمل الأكاديمي والبحثي. فهي اليوم مستشارة في مجال الصحة العالمية وباحثة في الدراسات السياسية والاستراتيجية، تركز في أبحاثها على تقاطع الجيوسياسة مع الأمن الصحي العالمي، مستفيدة من خلفيتها متعددة التخصصات في العلوم الصحية و الاقتصاد و السياسة والإعلام. كما أنها عضو في المجلس الاستشاري للسياحة و الضيافة بالأكاديمية العربية للعلوم والتكنولوجيا والنقل البحري، حيث تقدم رؤى استراتيجية لدعم قطاع السياحة العلاجية على المستويين المحلي والإقليمي.

إلى جانب ذلك، كان لها دور دولي بارز من خلال مشاركتها في مبادرة Feed the "Future التابعة للوكالة الأمريكية للتنمية الدولية، وإسهامها البحثي ضمن مجموعة أبحاث الساحل بجامعة فلوريدا، حيث تناولت تأثيرات التغير المناخي على الصحة العامة في إفريقيا. كما شاركت في مؤتمرات وورش عمل معنية بتمكين الشباب و مناقشة قضاياهم.

وأسست مبادرة Yalla Trips التي تهدف إلى تشجيع الشباب على السفر و الانفتاح على الثقافات الأخرى . وأسهمت في مجالات الإعلام والتسويق لعدد من المهرجانات الفنية التي أبرزت قيمة الثقافة المصرية على الساحة الدولية. و هي أيضا كاتبة مقالات اجتماعية في صحف قومية كالأهرام والجمهورية، ومقدمة برامج إذاعية ناقشت قضايا طبية و اجتماعية متنوعة، فضلا عن مشاركاتها الفنية والثقافية التي أبرزت تلاقي الفن مع الصحة و المجتمع.

إن مسيرة د. أسماء بدران هي تجسيد لقيمة التنوع في التخصصات و قدرة الإنسان على الجمع بين العلم والعمل و الإبداع. فهي لم تحصر نفسها في مجال واحد، بل صنعت لنفسها مكانا مرموقا على تقاطع الطب و السياسة والإدارة والإعلام والثقافة. هي امرأة آمنت بأن تعدد الخبرات مصدر قوة، وأن الإصرار على التعلم و العمل بجد هو الطريق الأكيد نحو القمة. وقصتها تمثل مصدر إلهام لكل شاب وشابة يطمحون لصناعة أثر حقيقي في أوطانهم و العالم.

Dr. Asmaa Badran...An Egyptian Woman's Mark on the Global Health Map and International Politics

In an era where challenges accelerate and the worlds of science, politics, and society intertwine, figures emerge who are capable of bridging these different spheres to make a real difference. Among these luminous personalities is Dr. Asmaa Badran, who managed to blend pharmacy, veterinary medicine, management, politics, media, arts, and global health, becoming a global voice that reflects the strength of the Egyptian will and a vision capable of shaping the future.

Her educational journey began at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Zagazig University, where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine. However, she did not stop at this achievement but sought to expand her scientific horizons, joining the same university's Faculty of Pharmacy to graduate with a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Clinical Pharmacy with a "Very Good" grade. This diversity between veterinary medicine and pharmacy was not a mere coincidence, but the result of a genuine passion for science and a desire to possess multiple tools for understanding both human and animal health.

Subsequently, she joined the Presidential Leadership Program (PLP) at the National Training Academy, as part of its second batch, where she studied management, business administration, and operations, which provided her with essential leadership tools for the next phase of her career.

This was not merely a training program; it was a strategic national project through which she participated in organizing major international events such as all editions of the World Youth Forum (WYF). She also participated in the Model Simulation of the Security Council in the presence of H.E. the President of the Republic, a number of heads of state, and world representatives, which resulted in the issuance of a document delivered to the United Nations in the name of Egypt. Through the Presidential Program, she made prominent contributions to analyzing and formulating visions related to various national and regional issues. The program was a profound practical school for her, demonstrating Egypt’s capacity to empower a new generation of young leaders capable of managing major international files and making decisions.

Her scientific contributions were not limited by the country's borders. In 2022, she obtained a certificate in Global Health from the University of Florida in the United States with an "Excellent" grade, which gave her an integrated global perspective on health and development issues. She also completed a training course at the Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies, and her collaboration with the center continued in areas concerning the challenges facing the global health system in light of current political and economic changes.

Furthermore, as part of the European Union programs for empowering female leaders and raising awareness of cultural minority and gender issues, she was nominated by the National Council for Women (NCW) for a training grant in the field of empowering Egyptian female leaders. She became a graduate of Gender Studies at the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITCILO) in Italy.

In addition, she was accredited as a trainer for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by the National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD) in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). She was also selected as an SDG Ambassador, which combined her academic training role with her awareness and representative role in spreading the culture of sustainability both locally and internationally.

Dr. Asmaa's professional path was diverse, combining direct medical practice, media experiences, administrative work, and culminating in executive leadership. She began her career as a Clinical Pharmacist at Al-Ahrar Teaching Hospital, where she monitored patients in the intensive care unit according to the latest protocols and adjusted therapeutic doses to ensure their safety. She also worked at the "Zeina Al-Hayat" Fertility and IVF Center as an Embryologist Specialist, preparing patient guide booklets, in addition to a training period in medical analysis laboratories, and her training in the Clinical Pharmacy Department at 57357 Children’s Cancer Hospital. Her experience also included working in the Quarantine in Sharqia Governorate, where she dealt with epidemic diseases and prevention methods. These medical experiences formed a solid foundation for her subsequent career.

However, her ambition pushed her to wider horizons, as she moved into the world of media and marketing. She began her marketing journey at "Dulex Lab" Pharmaceuticals, contributing to the preparation of marketing plans and the organization of scientific and medical promotional events. She then held the position of Public Relations Manager at the "Daily Medical Info" website, which won the award for the best medical website in the Arab world in 2016, and through which she contributed to raising public health awareness. She also held senior administrative positions in local and regional companies, including managing digital marketing teams at "Innovato", and the Regional Management of "Oranaa" company in the Middle East and North Africa region, in addition to her work as Marketing Manager at "Archrete" Engineering Solutions, where she established marketing teams and developed successful expansion strategies.

On the public service front, Dr. Asmaa emerged as an influential leader in the Egyptian health sector. The Ministry of Health and Population entrusted her with the task of heading the Medical Tourism Office, where she laid the groundwork for creating a national system that competes globally. She then assumed the chairmanship of the Technical Committee for Medical Tourism at the Egyptian Council of Ministers, where she contributed to formulating international policies for patient exchange, training cadres, facilitating procedures for receiving cases from abroad, and preparing the National Medical Tourism Strategy.

She also played a pivotal role in the Egyptian Healthcare Authority as an expert in Media and Marketing Policies, setting strategies for public communication and international marketing for the Universal Health Coverage project. After that, she held the position of Executive Director of the Health and Education Sector at the Maxim Investment Group, where she led major strategic projects in cooperation with global brands, ensuring innovation, sustainability, and the achievement of development goals.

Driven by her belief in the importance of global health, her career did not stop at executive positions but expanded into wider areas of academic and research work. Today, she is a Global Health Consultant and a Researcher in Political and Strategic Studies, focusing her research on the intersection of geopolitics with global health security, benefiting from her multidisciplinary background in health sciences, economics, politics, and media. She is also a member of the Advisory Board for Tourism and Hospitality at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT), where she provides strategic insights to support the medical tourism sector locally and regionally.

In addition, she had a prominent international role through her participation in the Feed the Future initiative of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and her research contribution within the Sahel Research Group at the University of Florida, where she addressed the effects of climate change on public health in Africa. She also participated in conferences and workshops concerned with youth empowerment and discussing their issues.

She founded the Yalla Trips initiative, which aims to encourage young people to travel and embrace other cultures. She contributed to the media and marketing fields for a number of art festivals that highlighted the value of Egyptian culture on the international stage. She is also a writer of social articles in national newspapers such as Al-Ahram and Al-Gomhuria, and a radio program host who discussed various medical and social issues, in addition to her artistic and cultural participations that highlighted the convergence of art with health and society.

Dr. Asmaa Badran's journey is an embodiment of the value of diversity in specializations and the human capacity to combine science, work, and creativity. She did not confine herself to one field but made a distinguished place for herself at the intersection of medicine, politics, management, media, and culture.
