His ambitions did not stop there; he obtained a mini-master's degree, then a master's degree in Political Economy with "Excellent" distinction.

This passionate academic journey culminated in a Ph.D. in Political Economy from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University. This academic degree not only reflected his academic prowess but also revealed his deep interest in fundamental issues related to development and transparency.

 

Education was not just a job for him; it was a passion that drove him to be an Economics instructor at Suez Canal University. Dr. Ibrahim's educational horizons expanded to include higher levels and wider impact, as he worked as an Economics lecturer for MBA students at the Canadian University in Cairo and a professor of International Political Economy at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University for master's students.

After that, Dr. Ibrahim became a visiting lecturer and trainer at many universities. He presented his profound insights at the Faculty of Economic Studies and Political Science at Alexandria University. He also shared his expertise at the Faculties of Administration, Political Science, and Economics at Nahda University and Beni Suef University.

 

His impact was not limited to academia but extended to community service through a series of "Economics for Life" lectures he delivered to managers in local governorates at the Ministry of Local Development.

In parallel with his academic career, Dr. Ibrahim's success story is evident in his professional journey spanning over 20 years, during which he visited more than 40 countries worldwide, skillfully navigating influential roles in both the public and private sectors, leaving clear imprints in the field of management, consultancy, and business development.

 

His professional journey began at the Ministry of Investment and the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, where he spent eight years honing his skills as an economist and investment policy analyst. During this period, Dr. Ibrahim was not just an employee but a key member of the technical team that assisted the Prime Minister in designing and formulating Egypt's investment map, actively contributing to identifying real investment opportunities and guiding investors. As an associate director of the technical unit and assistant to the Vice President of the Authority, he played a pivotal role in strategic planning, decision support, and coordination among different sectors.

His abilities particularly shone as a key member of the "Doing Business" team, which worked to improve Egypt's ranking in the World Bank report, and he received appreciation for his valuable contributions in this regard.

He also took responsibility for important international files such as the Brazil file and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and oversaw the National Regulatory Reform Initiative "The Regulatory Guillotine," demonstrating his deep understanding of economic and regulatory policies.

 

After a prolific career in the government sector, Dr. Ibrahim moved towards the private sector, working as a Public Policy Consultant and Project Manager at Abdulaziz Al-Gasem Law Firm and Consultations in Riyadh. He led a consulting team and successfully completed two final projects to improve the business environment in Saudi Arabia, related to rental housing and improving the commercial mortgage framework, reflecting his ability to lead teams and achieve tangible results in different environments.

 

He then returned to Egypt to assume a vital position as Senior Advisor and Director of Government Relations and Economic Affairs at PricewaterhouseCoopers. In this role, he was responsible for building a strong network of relationships with more than 30 governmental and semi-governmental entities and succeeded in bringing massive consulting project opportunities to the company, in addition to contributing to lobbying for important economic issues.

From 2017 to the present, Dr. Ibrahim serves as a Senior Advisor at MTC Economic Partnerships Councils, a WISE MTC project funded by USAID. Here, he plays a vital role in helping the Egyptian government promote economic growth, increase investment, and create job opportunities by encouraging public-private partnerships through the establishment of economic partnership councils. He secured a significant partnership with the Ministry of Local Development and resolved obstacles, leveraging his experience in speaking the language of both the government and private sectors. His work has also included benefiting from North Carolina's experience in effective local economic development.

 

Dr. Ibrahim has shown his passion for entrepreneurship and investment. Since 2021, he has held the position of CEO of Tareeq Investment, Trade, and Government Relations Consulting Company, and serves as a board member of both Our Financial Consulting and Collins Insurance and Reinsurance. Dr. Ibrahim held the position of Vice Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone for Investment and Promotion Affairs by presidential decree. This position represents a vital leadership role in driving Egypt's economic growth and attracting investments. He is a key economic driver: he achieved economic development in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, and contracts worth US$6 billion were signed, confirming his ability to achieve huge and direct financial accomplishments.

His oversight of vital departments such as Investment, Promotion, Taxes, Customs, and Environmental Sustainability demonstrates a deep understanding of the business environment and the ability for effective management. Representing the Authority in international forums and signing Memoranda of Understanding highlights strong skills in economic diplomacy, essential for attracting global investments and enhancing Egypt's position. Supervising the development of industrial zone infrastructure and ports supports the creation of an attractive environment for industries and logistics services, contributing to economic expansion.

 

He also held board memberships in the Main Development Company for the development of industrial zones within the Suez Canal Economic Zone and the Canal Electricity Distribution Company responsible for 7 major governorates and 4 new cities. He also holds the position of Chairman of the Investment Committee in the Arab Digital Economy Union affiliated with the League of Arab States.

 

He served as a Senior Expert and Consultant at Boston Consulting Group and provided vital consultations for huge investment projects such as Ras El Hekma and the development of industrial zones in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, contributing to the formulation of industrial and economic development strategies.

 

Dr. Ibrahim has been an influential voice at many major events. At the Biznex conference, he not only spoke about financial inclusion and electronic payment but also judged promising entrepreneurial projects, reflecting his deep understanding of market dynamics and innovation. 

He also participated as a representative of the business community in the "Egypt Can Invest and Develop" conference, and in the African Business and Investment Summit, underscoring his strong presence in the regional and international economic scene.

 

His belief in the importance of cooperation and integration was evident through his membership in the board of directors of the Arab Digital Economy Union, affiliated with the League of Arab States, where he contributes to driving digital transformation at the regional level. He also played a prominent role in research and academic committees, such as his participation as a speaker and research referee in a paper funded by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung in cooperation with Cairo University.

 

Internationally, his participations were crucial. In Washington, he represented PricewaterhouseCoopers in important meetings with the World Bank on Doing Business indicators. In London, he was a key speaker at the "Investment Conference: A Master Plan for Egypt" workshop, and at a roundtable on infrastructure and development in Egypt, underscoring his effective role in promoting the Egyptian economy on the global stage.

 

His most prominent achievement in this regard was his role as the General Coordinator for the projects of the Egyptian Economic Development Conference "Egypt The Future," where he was one of the main organizers of this massive economic event that witnessed wide international participation. Before that, he headed the mission of the International Finance Corporation - World Bank team for the Subnational Doing Business report on Egypt, demonstrating his ability to lead and coordinate at the level of major projects.

 

Dr. Ibrahim's journey was not limited to major platforms but extended to include his deep commitment to personal and professional development. He was keen to attend specialized training courses in vital areas such as long-term finance, investor services and aftercare, investment promotion tools and techniques, and entrepreneurship and business innovation. في عالم تتشابك فيه التحديات الاقتصادية والسياسية، يبرز اسم د. إبراهيم كنموذج ملهم للعزيمة والرؤية الثاقبة. من قاعات جامعة القاهرة العريقة، حيث صقل فهمه العميق للاقتصاد والسياسة، انطلقت رحلة استثنائية لم تتوقف عند الحدود الأكاديمية، بل امتدت لتلامس صميم صناعة القرار، وتشكل مستقبل الاقتصاد المصري والعربي.

 

بدأت رحلة د. إبراهيم من جامعة القاهرة. بشغف وذكاء، تخرج بتقدير "جيد جدًا مع مرتبة الشرف" من كلية الاقتصاد والعلوم السياسية، وهو ما أرسى لديه فهمًا عميقًا لتشابك الظواهر الاقتصادية والسياسية. لم تتوقف طموحاته عند هذا الحد، بل حصل على ماجستير مصغر ثم حصل علي درجة الماجستير في الاقتصاد السياسي بتقدير "امتياز"، هذه المرحلة التعليمية المتقدمة لم تكن مجرد إضافة لمؤهلاته، بل كانت صقلًا لقدراته التحليلية والنقدية، ومكنته من الغوص في أدق تفاصيل السياسات العامة وتأثيراتها.

 

تكللت هذه المسيرة العلمية الشغوفة بالحصول على درجة الدكتوراه في الاقتصاد السياسي من كلية الاقتصاد والعلوم السياسية بجامعة القاهرة. هذه الدرجة العلمية لم تعكس فقط براعته الأكاديمية، بل كشف أيضًا عن اهتمامه العميق بالقضايا الجوهرية التي تتعلق بالتنمية والشفافية.

 

لم يكن التعليم مجرد وظيفة بالنسبة له، بل شغفًا دفعه ليكون مدرس للاقتصاد بجامعة قناة السويس، توسعت آفاق د. إبراهيم التعليمية لتشمل مستويات أعلى وتأثيرًا أوسع. حيث عمل كمحاضر في الاقتصاد لطلاب ماجستير إدارة الأعمال بالجامعة الكندية بالقاهرة واستاذ الاقتصاد السياسي الدولي بكلية الاقتصاد والعلوم السياسية بجامعة القاهرة لطلبة الماجستير.

 

بعد ذلك أصبح د. إبراهيم محاضرًا زائرًا ومدربًا في العديد من الجامعات. قدم رؤاه العميقة في كلية الدراسات الاقتصادية والعلوم السياسية بجامعة الإسكندرية. كما شارك خبراته في كليتي الإدارة والسياسة والاقتصاد بجامعة النهضة وجامعة بني سويف. 

 

ولم يقتصر تأثيره على الأكاديميات، بل امتد إلى خدمة المجتمع من خلال سلسلة محاضرات "الاقتصاد للحياة" التي قدمها للمديرين في المحافظات المحلية بوزارة التنمية المحلية .

 

وتجسدت رؤاه وأفكاره في مؤلفات قيمة أثرت المكتبة الاقتصادية. فهو أثرى النقاش العام بكتابه "هكذا يتحدث الاقتصاد السياسي"، تلاه كتاب "الفساد الاقتصادي". إن هذه الكتب ليست مجرد نتاج فكر، بل هي شهادة على التزامه بالتحليل النقدي وتقديم حلول مستنيرة.

 

و بالتوازي مع المسيرة الاكاديمية، تتجلّى قصة نجاح د.إبراهيم في مسيرته المهنية التي تمتد لأكثر من 20 عامًا وفيها زار أكثر من 40 دولة حول العالم، متنقلًا ببراعة بين أدوار مؤثرة في القطاعين العام والخاص، ومُخلّفًا بصمات واضحة في مجال الإدارة والاستشارات وتطوير الأعمال.

 

كانت بداية رحلته المهنية في وزارة الاستثمار والهيئة العامة للاستثمار والمناطق الحرة، حيث أمضى ثماني سنوات يصقل مهاراته كخبير اقتصادي ومحلل سياسات استثمار. في هذه الفترة، لم يكن د. إبراهيم مجرد موظف، بل كان عضوًا رئيسيًا في الفريق الفني الذي ساعد رئيس الوزراء في تصميم وصياغة خريطة الاستثمار في مصر، مُساهمًا بفاعلية في تحديد الفرص الاستثمارية الحقيقية وتوجيه المستثمرين. وكمدير مشارك للوحدة الفنية ومساعد لنائب رئيس الهيئة، كان له دور محوري في التخطيط الاستراتيجي، ودعم القرار، والتنسيق بين القطاعات المختلفة.

برزت قدراته بشكل خاص كعضو رئيسي في فريق "ممارسة الأعمال" الذي عمل على تحسين ترتيب مصر في تقرير البنك الدولي، ونال تقديرًا لمساهماته القيمة في هذا الصدد. 

كما تولى مسؤولية ملفات دولية مهمة مثل ملف البرازيل ومنظمة التعاون الاقتصادي والتنمية، وأشرف على المبادرة الوطنية للإصلاح التنظيمي "المقصلة التنظيمية"، مما يدل على عمق فهمه للسياسات الاقتصادية والتنظيمية.

وبعد مسيرة حافلة في القطاع الحكومي، اتجه د.إبراهيم نحو القطاع الخاص، فعمل كمستشار للسياسات العامة ومدير للمشاريع في شركة عبد العزيز القاسم للمحاماة والاستشارات في الرياض . قاد فريقًا استشاريًا، ونجح في إنجاز مشروعين نهائيين لتحسين بيئة الأعمال في المملكة العربية السعودية، متعلقين بالإسكان الإيجاري وبتحسين إطار الرهن التجاري، مما يعكس قدرته على قيادة فرق العمل وتحقيق نتائج ملموسة في بيئات مختلفة.

ثم عاد إلى مصر ليتبوأ منصبًا حيويًا كمستشار أول ومدير للعلاقات الحكومية والشؤون الاقتصادية في برايس ووترهاوس كوبرز في هذا الدور، كان مسؤولاً عن بناء شبكة علاقات قوية مع أكثر من 30 جهة حكومية وشبه حكومية، ونجح في جلب فرص مشاريع استشارية ضخمة للشركة، بالإضافة إلى المساهمة في الضغط من أجل قضايا اقتصادية مهمة. 

منذ 2017 وحتى الآن، يشغل د .إبراهيم منصب مستشار أول في MTC مجالس الشراكة الاقتصادية مشروع WISE MTC الممول من USAID هنا، يلعب دورًا حيويًا في مساعدة الحكومة المصرية على تعزيز النمو الاقتصادي، وزيادة الاستثمار، وخلق فرص العمل من خلال تشجيع الشراكة بين القطاعين العام والخاص، وذلك عبر إنشاء مجالس الشراكة الاقتصادية. لقد ضمن شراكة مهمة مع وزارة التنمية المحلية، وقام بحل العقبات، مستفيدًا من خبرته في التحدث بلغة القطاعين الحكومي والخاص. وقد شمل عمله أيضًا الاستفادة من تجربة ولاية كارولينا الشمالية في التنمية الاقتصادية المحلية الفعالة.

 أظهر د.إبراهيم شغفه بالريادة والاستثمار. فمنذ 2021، يتولى منصب الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة طريق للاستشارات في الاستثمار والتجارة والعلاقات الحكومية، ويشغل عضوية مجلس إدارة في كل من أور المالية للاستشارات وكولينز للتأمين وإعادة التأمين. هذه المناصب تعكس قدرته على التفكير الاستراتيجي والقيادة في بيئة الأعمال المتغيرة.

لم تكن مسيرة د. إبراهيم المهنية تقتصر على المناصب القيادية وصناعة القرار فحسب، بل امتدت لتشمل شغفًا عميقًا بصقل المهارات واكتساب الخبرات من خلال المشاركة الفاعلة في المؤتمرات وحرصه الدائم على التعلّم المستمر عبر الدورات التدريبية المتنوعة.

وشغل د. إبراهيم منصب نائب رئيس الهيئة العامة للمنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس لشئون الاستثمار والترويج بقرار من رئيس الجمهورية.

هذا المنصب يمثل دورًا قياديًا حيويًا في دفع عجلة النمو الاقتصادي لمصر وجذب الاستثمارات. فهو محرك رئيسي للاقتصاد:  حيث حقق التنمية الاقتصادية في المنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس. وتم توقيع عقود بقيمة 6 مليارات دولار أمريكي يؤكد القدرة على تحقيق إنجازات مالية ضخمة ومباشرة.

ويشمل الإشراف على أقسام حيوية مثل الاستثمار، الترويج، الضرائب، الجمارك، والاستدامة البيئية، مما يظهر فهمًا عميقًا لبيئة الأعمال والقدرة على الإدارة الفعالة.

 وتم تمثيل الهيئة في المحافل الدولية وتوقيع مذكرات التفاهم يبرز مهارات قوية في الدبلوماسية الاقتصادية، الضرورية لجذب الاستثمارات العالمية وتعزيز مكانة مصر.

 والإشراف على تطوير البنية التحتية للمناطق الصناعية والموانئ يدعم خلق بيئة جاذبة للصناعات والخدمات اللوجستية، مما يساهم في التوسع الاقتصادي.

 

كما شغل عضوية مجلس ادارة شركة التنمية الرئيسية لتطوير المناطق الصناعية داخل المنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس وعضوية مجلس ادارة شركة القناة لتوزيع الكهرباء المسئولة عن 7 محافظات رئيسية و4 مدن جديدة،  كما يشغل منصب رئيس منصب لجنة الاستثمار في الاتحاد العربي للاقتصاد الرقمي التابع لجامعة الدول العربية.

 

وشغل منصب كبير خبراء واستشاري في مجموعة بوسطن الاستشارية وقدم استشارات حيوية لمشاريع استثمارية ضخمة مثل رأس الحكمة وتطوير المناطق الصناعية في المنطقة الاقتصادية لقناة السويس، مساهما في صياغة استراتيجيات التنمية الصناعية والاقتصادية. 

لقد كان د. إبراهيم صوتًا مؤثرًا في العديد من الفعاليات الكبرى. في مؤتمر بيزنيكس، لم يكتفِ بالتحدث عن الشمول المالي والدفع الإلكتروني، بل قام أيضًا بتحكيم مشاريع ريادية واعدة، مما يعكس فهمه العميق لديناميكيات السوق والابتكار. كما شارك ممثلاً لمجتمع الأعمال في مؤتمر "مصر تستطيع بالاستثمار والتنمية"، وفي القمة الأفريقية للأعمال والاستثمار، مما يؤكد على حضوره القوي في المشهد الاقتصادي الإقليمي والدولي.

كان إيمانه بأهمية التعاون والتكامل واضحًا من خلال عضويته في مجلس إدارة الاتحاد العربي للاقتصاد الرقمي، التابع لجامعة الدول العربية، حيث يساهم في دفع عجلة التحول الرقمي على مستوى المنطقة. كما كان له دور بارز في اللجان البحثية والأكاديمية، مثل مشاركته كمتحدث ومحكّم بحثي في ورقة ممولة من مؤسسة فريدريش إيبرت شتيفتونج بالتعاون مع جامعة القاهرة.

على الصعيد الدولي، كانت مشاركاته حاسمة. ففي واشنطن، مثل برايس ووترهاوس كوبرز في اجتماعات مهمة مع البنك الدولي حول مؤشرات ممارسة أنشطة الأعمال. وفي لندن، كان متحدثًا رئيسيًا في ورشة عمل "مؤتمر الاستثمار: خطة رئيسية لمصر"، وفي طاولة مستديرة حول البنية التحتية والتنمية في مصر، مما يؤكد على دوره الفعال في الترويج للاقتصاد المصري على الساحة العالمية.

كان أبرز إنجازاته في هذا الجانب هو دوره كـالمنسق العام لمشاريع مؤتمر التنمية الاقتصادية المصري  "مصر المستقبل" ، حيث كان أحد المنظمين الرئيسيين لهذا الحدث الاقتصادي الضخم الذي شهد مشاركة دولية واسعة. وقبل ذلك، ترأس بعثة فريق مؤسسة التمويل الدولي - البنك الدولي لتقرير ممارسة أنشطة الأعمال دون الوطنية حول مصر، مما يدل على قدرته على القيادة والتنسيق على مستوى المشاريع الكبرى.

لم تقتصر رحلة د. إبراهيم على المنصات الكبرى، بل امتدت لتشمل التزامه العميق بالتنمية الشخصية والمهنية. فقد حرص على حضور دورات تدريبية متخصصة في مجالات حيوية مثل التمويل طويل الأجل، وخدمة المستثمرين والرعاية اللاحقة، وأدوات وتقنيات ترويج الاستثمار، والريادة والابتكار في الأعمال. هذه الدورات زودته بأدوات ومعارف متقدمة انعكست على أدائه المتميز.

كما شارك في ورش عمل ودورات حول تقييم الأثر التنظيمي، والمتابعة وتقييم الأداء. وكان شغوفًا بالدراسات الاستراتيجية والسياسية، حيث شارك في دورات تدريبية حول تغير المناخ وتقييم الأثر البيئي في مركز الأهرام، مما يؤكد على فكره الشمولي واهتمامه بالقضايا التنموية المستدامة.
