التحقت بالجامعة اللبنانية في بيروت (فرع جل الديب)، حيث انغمست في دراسة الحقوق بعمق،وبعدها نالت شهادة الماجستير. لم يكن القانون بالنسبة لها مهنة فقط، بل كان سلاحاً تؤمن من خلاله بضرورة إرساء العدالة في وطن يعشق الحرية.

 

انفتحت أمام جويس آفاق جديدة حين انتقلت للعمل كمديرة مكتب احد النواب. هنا، لم تعد جويس مجرد محامية تدافع عن موكليها، بل أصبحت جزءاً من "المطبخ التشريعي". تولت منصب مديرة المكتب، وأشرفت على إعداد مشاريع القوانين، ودراسة الملفات القانونية المعقدة، وتنظيم اللقاءات السياسية.

 

أثبتت جويس مهارة استثنائية في إدارة العمليات الانتخابية، حيث كانت ركناً أساسياً في الماكينة الانتخابية، مما منحها خبرة ميدانية واسعة في كيفية التعامل مع الشأن العام والخدمات الاجتماعية. وفي عام 2021، اتخذت جويس قراراً شجاعاً بالاستقلال المهني، حيث افتتحت مكتبها الخاص للمحاماة في منطقة المكلس، لتبدأ فصلاً جديداً من التميز المهني.

هذا النشاط الحقوقي أهّلها لتكون عضواً فاعلاً في لجان نقابية حساسة، فهي عضو في "لجنة المرأة" وعضو في "لجنة حقوق الطفل والأحداث" في نقابة المحامين ببيروت منذ عام 2021، مما يعكس ثقة زملائها في كفاءتها وإخلاصها.

 

لم تكن جويس يوماً مسالمة في قناعاتها الوطنية. ففي عام 2022، قررت كسر حاجز  الجمود، وخاضت غمار الانتخابات النيابية مرشحة عن المقعد الماروني في دائرة الشوف ضمن لائحة "سيادة وطن". كانت تجربتها الانتخابية درساً في الإصرار، حيث واجهت التحديات بروح رياضية وعزيمة لا تلين.

 

استمر حضورها السياسي والوطني من خلال توليها منصب مسؤولة الشؤون القانونية في "الحزب الوطني" عام 2024، وعضويتها في "تجمع مستقلون من أجل لبنان" و"الجبهة السيادية". هي صوت حر، وكاتبة سياسية واجتماعية تنشر مقالاتها لتسلط الضوء على مكامن الخلل وتطرح الحلول برؤية قانونية ثاقبة.

 

بصفتها رئيسة "اتحاد الشباب العربي في لبنان" منذ عام 2021، تحمل جويس على عاتقها مسؤولية كبيرة تجاه جيل المستقبل. تعمل من خلال هذا المنصب على خلق فرص للشباب، وتحفيزهم على الانخراط في الشأن العام، وإيصال صوتهم إلى المحافل الدولية، مؤمنةً بأن الشباب هم القوة الوحيدة القادرة على انتشال الوطن من أزماته.

The features of Joyce’s leadership personality began to take shape during her school years at the "Saints Coeurs - Sioufi" school in Achrafieh. Joyce was not an ordinary student content with academic achievement; she realized from a young age that human value lies in what one offers to society. She joined the "Groupe Missionnaire" missionary club, which was not merely honorary participation, but involved arduous field trips to border areas exhausted by wars. She joined the Lebanese University in Beirut (Jal el Dib branch), where she immersed herself deeply in the study of Law, later earning a Master’s degree. For her, law was not just a profession, but a weapon through which she believed in the necessity of establishing justice in a homeland that loves freedom.

New horizons opened for Joyce when she moved to work as an office manager for a Member of Parliament. Here, Joyce was no longer just a lawyer defending her clients; she became part of the "legislative kitchen." She took on the position of office director, supervising the drafting of bills, studying complex legal files, and organizing political meetings.

Joyce demonstrated exceptional skill in managing electoral operations, serving as a fundamental pillar in the electoral machine, which gave her extensive field experience in dealing with public affairs and social services. In 2021, Joyce took a courageous decision for professional independence, opening her own law firm in the Mkalles area to begin a new chapter of professional excellence.

 

Joyce Maroun believes that a lawyer is the "voice of the voiceless." Therefore, she dedicated a significant portion of her time to specialized training courses in human rights, protection of minors, women’s empowerment, and combating all forms of violence against women. She did not stop at civil law; she underwent an intensive course at the Bar Association in 2022 regarding "Canon Law," allowing her to plead and defend before spiritual courts, standing by families in their most difficult circumstances.

 

This human rights activity qualified her to be an active member of sensitive syndicate committees. Since 2021, she has been a member of the "Women's Committee" and the "Child and Juvenile Rights Committee" at the Beirut Bar Association, reflecting the confidence of her colleagues in her competence and sincerity.

Joyce was never passive in her national convictions. In 2022, she decided to break the ice and entered the parliamentary elections as a candidate for the Maronite seat in the Chouf district within the "Sovereignty of a Nation" (Siyadat Watan) list.
